We are looking for a Medical Interpreter to undertake the following duties on a day-to-day basis:
Key Responsibilities
· Accompany allocated clients during specialist medical appointments on an as needed basis and provide both verbal and written interpreter services
· To stay with clients throughout their appointment.
· Attend follow up appointments where appropriate.
· Feedback to Medical department all relevant information relating to the patient's case
· Communicate follow up appointment needs
· Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
· To be aware of and adhere to all of UKME's policies and procedures.
· To comply with all Health and Safety regulations as governed by the Health and Safety at work Act 1974 (and any amendments).
Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Abilities
· Fluent in traditional Arabic language and English (both written and verbal)
· Degree / qualification in Interpreting Services
· Demonstrated Interpreter experience
· Previous experience as a Medical Interpreter
