The Role - Medical Field Service Engineer, Medical Lasers, Optics & Ophthalmic Instrumentation

This market-leading optical group now seeks to recruit a technically motivated and customer focused Medical Field Service Engineer, responsible for the planned preventative maintenance, service, breakdown and repair of leading edge fully networked electronic optical medical systems, with innovative products dedicated to a broad range of medical applications with include optometry, dentistry, radiotherapy, surgical microscopy, digital visualisation, neurosurgery and gynaecology.

This role is home based, and will involve travelling to hospitals, healthcare centres and medical establishments throughout the west side of Scotland, particularly around Glasgow, Lanarkshire and the surrounding Central Belt region. The successful Service Engineer will ensure that the highest levels of customer service are maintained at all times.

Your Background - Medical Field Service Engineer, Medical Lasers, Optics & Ophthalmic Instrumentation

Suitable candidates for this exciting role will need to possess a qualification in electronics, engineering or science, to a minimum of ONC level, and have gained experience working in a customer facing field service or technical support environment. Experience of optics, lasers or ophthalmic applications is preferred. Applications are encouraged from Field Service Engineers from a wide range of electronic based high value capital equipment sectors, including medical device, laboratory device, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, ex HM Forces Engineers, or other high value instrumentation environments. Full and extensive product training will be provided, so whatever your background in field service, your application will be considered.
