Overview:

First Military are currently working with a new client who are keen to hire ex-military personnel. They are looking for Mechanical Installation Engineers base in the South of England around the M25.  

Working predominantly in hospital operating theatres, healthcare settings and construction sites. Working closely with the whole Installations team to install and commission medical equipment such as operating lights, medical gas pendants, Ultra Clean Ventilation Canopy, and examination lights.

Working as part of a team who are responsible for the installation of medical equipment packages predominately in the South of England but on occasion this role may involve working on sites throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Working on live construction sites (new build and existing developments) alongside multiple trades to a set program/deadline.
Working in a clinical hospital environment, adhering to infection controls outlined by clients and being respectful to staff & patients who may be near the work environment.
Problem-solving to rectify real-time site issues by working with the installation team and site team to find a suitable resolution.
Clear and concise communication with the installation team regarding of work progress, any known issues, and the status of completed work.
Experience in mechanically fixing equipment at height using various fixing methods and managing the risks associated.
Elevating heavy-duty equipment at height and managing the risks associated.
Working at height up to approx. 5m using Step ladders, MEWPS.
Use of power tools for example drills (Mag, SDS and Standard) and chop saw.
Marking and setting out equipment positions accurately with measuring equipment and laser levels. 
Using an electronic device to capture, record and send information relating to completed work to the project manager and installation team.
Conduct initial site surveys as requested to identify any deviations from scope of works. (if applicable)
Review job card ensuring correct delivery of materials, equipment and tools required for site-specific installation works.
Complete time-sheets on time and ensure commissioning reports for works undertaken accurately reflect works undertaken.
           
Skills & Experience:

Highly organised, able to work methodically and diligently under pressure.
Good geographical knowledge and a willingness to travel.
Strong team player who can also work independently.
Able to convey a professional manner with a range of key stakeholders (often customer-facing).
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Communicate and engage with the customer on a variety of levels.
Full Driving License
ESC card of CSCS card
Mobile Access Platform and Asbestos awareness trained 
Knowledge of HVAC systems or heavy equipment
Industrial Fit out background
