Mechatronics Engineer
Location: Derby
Salary: £38K – £45K + Benefits
Mechatronics Engineer required by a growing specialist business developing innovative automated equipment and technology for a range of advanced engineering applications!
This is a varied, challenging Mechatronics Engineer role combining electrical engineering, controls and software, taking projects from initial design and development through to build, integration, testing and commissioning.
Essential:
* Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering or similar
* Practical experience with motors, drives, sensors and embedded controllers
* Experience with schematic capture and PCB design using KiCad, Altium or similar
* Programming experience using Python, C or C++
* Hands-on experience building, wiring, testing or commissioning hardware
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Nice-to-have:
* Experience with motion control, PLCs, industrial control systems, mechanical CAD or embedded Linux would be advantageous but is not essential
