Description:

We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our Power Plant team at Levenseat Renewable Energy Limited.

The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance as well as recommending and implementing improvements on all systems and equipment across the plant.

Main Duties

Maintain and carry out fault-finding on equipment and systems
Supervise, direct, and work alongside contractors
Assist with the management of critical spare stock
Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS The salary for this role is £40,788 p/a plus shift allowance. For a full list of duties, please refer to the attached job description.

Working in the Maintenance Team, you will work alongside a team of Electrical and Mechanical Technicians who report directly to the Maintenance Manager.

The team directly support site operations to maximise plant availability, and this can involve working alone, as a member of the wider team, or supporting third-party contractors.

Safe working practices are a priority, and the company's Health, Safety and Environmental processes, policies, and procedures must be adhered to at all times.

Essential Skills

Experience:

A time-served mechanical fitter with in-depth knowledge of equipment in a similar heavy/processing plant
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and be confident in diagnosing faults.
Fabrication/welding experience
Experience in using maintenance management systems and working within a permit systemEducation and qualifications:

SVQ/NVQ/HNC/HND in a mechanical discipline
Rigging/slinging
IPAF
IOSH working safely
