Description:
Our client, an oil & gas company, are looking for a Mechanical Technician on a contract basis at their site in Inverurie.
Total working hours are 37.5hrs. Mon-Thu 07:00-15:30 & Fri 07:00-14:30.
As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of our mechanical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset to support our commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, utilizing technical expertise to identify and implement effective solutions.
Conduct preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to provide technical support and contribute to the development of new processes and equipment.
Operate a variety of hand and power tools to assemble, dismantle, and repair machinery.
Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify and ensure the accuracy of mechanical components.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.
Comply with safety regulations and company policies to create a secure working environment.
Assist in the procurement of replacement parts and materials, ensuring timely availability for maintenance and repairs.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements, actively participating in ongoing training and professional development.
