Mechanical Supervisor - Commercial Plumbing and Heating

Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire, DL9 4HE

104 Week Contract - 07:30 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday & 07:30 to 15:00 on Friday - 43 hrs

This is a fantastic opportunity for a mechanical supervisor - commercial plumbing and heating, to join the mechanical engineering division, supporting a major new build hospital project at Catterick Garrison, DL9 4HE.

Duties

As a time served pipe fitter/commercial plumber with experience of working at supervisory level you will be based on site at a new build hospital project in Catterick Garrison, DL9 4HE. Primary responsibilities will be to work with the project management team to deliver the mechanical services installation on time and within budget, according to the specification, engineering drawings and programme of works. Specific duties will be to oversee the day-to-day activities of the self-delivery and subcontract mechanical services packages, comprising of up to 20 pipe fitters / commercial plumbers installing heating and plumbing services to the new build hospital. The installation will include 1st fix 108mm, 28mm, 22mm and 15mm stainless steel, mapress pipework to existing drops along with the associated supports, brackets and metalwork. There will also be plastic and copper services with 2nd fix fixtures and fittings as the job progresses.

About You

Based ideally in North Yorkshire you will need to live within a short commutable distance of DL9 4HE.

Demonstrable experience of supervising high value commercial plumbing and heating installations ideally within a live hospital environment.

Ideally Supervisor level JIB Card with SSSTS or SMSTS

We will arrange your DBS, BPPS clearance prior to starting.

In return for your experience, you will receive a hourly rate between £22.82PAYE and £30.00CIS per hour as well as a range of benefits including £350.00 per week for accommodation costs plus 25p per mile for travel to and from home if you are staying away from home. Please be aware this is a 2-3year contract.
