Mechanical Supervisor

Our client, a leading Facilities Management provider, is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to support a large public sector site in Halifax.
You will supervise a multi-skilled maintenance team and service partners, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of critical building services across the site.
This is a hands-on supervisory role suited to someone with a strong mechanical background who can provide technical support to engineers while overseeing day-to-day maintenance activity.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support a multi-skilled maintenance team
Oversee planned and reactive mechanical maintenance
Ensure plant inspections, servicing and repairs are completed effectively
Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, site procedures and contractual requirements
Provide technical support to engineers across mechanical systems
Support planned shutdowns and maintenance works
Liaise with site management and other stakeholders to minimise disruption
Maintain accurate maintenance and compliance records
Support internal and external audits
Monitor materials, equipment and resources to ensure efficient service delivery
Requirements
Mechanical bias, including HVAC, Plumbing, Gas or similar
Minimum NVQ Level 3 mechanical qualification
Previous experience within a Supervisor or Team Leader position
Strong commercial building maintenance experience
Good understanding of PPM and reactive maintenance
Previous Authorised Person experience, or willingness to undertake AP responsibilities
Previous experience within public sector, PFI or critical environments would be advantageous
