Mechanical Supervisor - Hospital Environment
West London
Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm
Salary: Up to £55,000 + Excellent Benefits
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Supervisor to join one of the UKs leading Facilities Management providers on a prestigious hospital contract in West London.
This is a fantastic chance to work within a critical healthcare environment, overseeing the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across a large and complex estate. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading a team of engineers, ensuring compliance, service delivery, and high standards of maintenance across mechanical building services systems.
We are keen to speak with experienced Mechanical Supervisors, Lead Mechanical Engineers, or Senior Mechanical Engineers who are ready to take the next step into a supervisory position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising a team of mechanical and multi-skilled engineers.
- Managing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works.
- Ensuring statutory compliance and health & safety standards are met.
- Supporting the Contract Manager with day-to-day operational activities.
- Monitoring subcontractor performance and overseeing specialist works.
- Providing technical support and guidance to the engineering team.
- Producing reports, completing permits, and maintaining maintenance records.
- Assisting with project works, shutdowns, and plant upgrades.
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical building services maintenance experience.
- Previous experience within a hospital, healthcare, critical, commercial, or large-scale FM environment is highly desirable.
- Supervisory experience is advantageous, although strong Lead Engineers looking to progress will also be considered.
- Good knowledge of HVAC systems, pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, heating systems, and associated plant.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive and hands-on approach to engineering and team leadership.
