Description:

Mechanical Site Manager

Leicester | £65,000 - £70,000 + Package

£5m+ Mechanical Project | Established MEP Contractor | Clear Progression to Project Manager

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join an established and technically strong MEP contractor delivering a £5m+ mechanical project in Leicester.

The business has a strong reputation within the mechanical and electrical building services sector, delivering complex projects through a combination of design, installation, commissioning and project management. Its approach is hands-on and engineering-led, with a strong focus on quality, safety and coordinated project delivery.

This role would suit a Mechanical Site Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career, with a genuine opportunity to develop into a Project Manager position as experience and project responsibility increases.

The Role

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day mechanical delivery on a major project, working closely with the Project Manager, engineers, subcontractors and wider construction team.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing day-to-day mechanical works and site activities
Leading supervisors, engineers and mechanical subcontractors
Coordinating installation across HVAC, pipework, ventilation, plumbing and associated mechanical services
Managing labour, materials and site resources
Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to the Project Manager
Coordinating mechanical works with electrical and other construction disciplines
Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical information
Managing site quality and resolving technical issues

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager / Mechanical Supervisor with a strong building services background.

Ideally, you'll have:

Proven experience managing mechanical installation on major projects
Strong HVAC and mechanical services knowledge
Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
Good understanding of construction programmes and sequencing
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
Strong communication and coordination skills
Good health & safety and quality awareness
Experience working on projects valued at £5m+ would be advantageous

Career Progression

One of the key attractions of this position is the opportunity to progress into a Project Manager role.

The business is looking for someone who wants to develop beyond site management and take on greater responsibility across programme, commercial management, client relationships and overall project delivery.

You'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced Project Managers and senior management while developing the skills required to make that transition.
