Mechanical Site Manager – Southampton
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Duration: Approximately 4 months
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: 5–7 days per week available

Sphere Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to oversee mechanical building services works on a university building fit-out project in Southampton.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager looking for an immediate start, with the potential to work additional hours and weekends throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day management of mechanical installations on site.
* Manage and coordinate mechanical subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to programme.
* Review, implement and monitor Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
* Ensure compliance with site health and safety procedures and relevant regulations.
* Monitor progress against programme, identifying and resolving potential delays.
* Coordinate with other trades, site management and the wider project team.
* Carry out site inspections and quality checks to ensure installations meet required standards.
* Attend site meetings and provide regular progress updates.
* Manage site documentation, permits and associated H&S requirements.
Essential Requirements
* Valid SMSTS certification – essential.
* Valid First Aid at Work certification – essential.
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager on commercial construction projects.
* Strong mechanical building services background, including HVAC, pipework and associated installations.
* Good understanding of RAMS, health and safety compliance and subcontractor management.
* Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.
Previous experience working on commercial fit-out or education projects would be advantageous.
