Mechanical Site Installation Fitters – Two-Person Team
CIS £400–£450 per man, per day + Digs Paid | UK-Wide Projects | Anglian Water
Odin Recruitment is seeking an experienced two-man mechanical fitting team for an established engineering contractor delivering approximately 20 projects for Anglian Water.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled pair of Mechanical Fitters to work together on a range of wastewater treatment and water infrastructure projects across the UK, with an attractive daily rate and accommodation costs covered.
If you have a strong mechanical fitting background and work well as a team, this could be an ideal opportunity.
The Role
Working as part of a two-man installation team, you'll be responsible for mechanical installation, fitting and refurbishment of wastewater treatment equipment across water industry sites.
Duties will include:

Installing and fitting mechanical wastewater equipment, from conveyors to larger interconnected treatment systems.

Setting out equipment and working from engineering drawings.
*
Carrying out mechanical assembly, installation, servicing and refurbishment.
*
Working alongside lifting teams, subcontractors and other site trades.
*
Using mechanical tools and lifting equipment safely.
*
Resolving on-site installation issues and maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Projects will primarily involve Anglian Water, with potential work across other major water companies, including Severn Trent, Welsh Water and Thames Water.
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from two experienced Mechanical Fitters who already work together or would be happy to operate as a team.
Ideally, you'll have:

Proven experience in mechanical fitting, installation or industrial maintenance.
*
Strong hands-on site installation experience.
*
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
*
Experience working on construction, industrial or operational sites.
*
A good understanding of site safety, RAMS and safe systems of work.
*
A full UK driving licence.
*
Flexibility to travel nationwide and stay away from home regularly.
Experience within wastewater treatment, water infrastructure or similar industrial environments would be highly desirable. Welding experience would also be an advantage.
Tickets & Qualifications
Candidates holding any of the following qualifications or tickets are encouraged to apply:
CSCS, First Aid, Confined Space, Slinger/Signaller, IPAF, PASMA, Thames Water Passport, Safety Critical Medical, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, SSSTS, CPCS Crane Supervisor, Telehandler or 360 Slew Telehandler.
You don't need every ticket listed. Strong mechanical fitting experience is the priority, with additional training available where required.
