Description:
We're currently working with a leading facilities management provider to recruit a Mechanical Shift Engineer for a prestigious commercial building in Canary Wharf. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional engineering team responsible for maintaining a high-end, technically advanced site where reliability and service excellence are key.
The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical background, experience in commercial building maintenance, and the ability to work effectively as part of a continental shift team. Key Duties
* Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
* Fault-find and repair mechanical building services equipment.
* Maintain HVAC systems, pumps, motors, valves, and pipework.
* Respond to plant failures and emergency call-outs.
* Complete maintenance records and update the CAFM system.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
* Work closely with the wider engineering team and contractors.
* Support continuous improvement and minor project works.
Requirements
* NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
* Experience in commercial building maintenance or facilities management.
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
* Good knowledge of mechanical building services and HVAC systems.
* Professional attitude with excellent communication skills.
