Mechanical Service Technician
Wickford, Essex
Circa £45,000 + Travel Payments + Benefits
Prime Appointments are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Service Technician for a leading engineering services provider supporting the Energy, Power Generation, Refinery, Utilities and Heavy Engineering sectors.
This role is ideal for a Mechanical Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Rotating Equipment Engineer or Maintenance Engineer with experience servicing industrial machinery.
The Role
Service, maintain, repair and overhaul rotating equipment, including pumps and turbines
Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs on industrial plant
Perform alignment, inspection and precision measurements
Support planned shutdowns, outages and reactive maintenance
Complete service reports and technical documentation
Travel to customer sites across the UK (90% within one hour of Wickford)
Skills & Experience
ONC, HNC, NVQ or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
Experience with pumps, turbines, compressors or other rotating equipment
Background in power generation, energy, refinery, utilities or heavy engineering
Strong fault finding and mechanical diagnostics skills
Full UK driving licence
Willing to join a 1-in-5 callout rota
