Description:

Human Engineering is recruiting for a mechanically biased Service Engineer to work on a varied range of lifting, handling and industrial equipment across the East Scotland area.

This is a good opportunity for an engineer, fitter or technician with experience working on mechanical equipment in sectors such as lifting, plant, powered access, industrial equipment, tool hire, materials handling, cranes, hoists or similar.

You do not need to come from one exact background. If you are mechanically strong, comfortable fault finding and have worked around lifting, access, plant, workshop, site or industrial equipment, this role could be a good fit.

The role will involve:

* Servicing, maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment

* Inspecting equipment and identifying faults, defects or worn components

* Carrying out mechanical repairs, adjustments and basic testing

* Preparing equipment for use on customer sites

* Completing job records, inspection sheets and service paperwork

* Working safely in line with company and industry procedures

* Supporting customers and colleagues with technical equipment issues

We would like to speak with candidates who have experience as a:

* Mechanical Service Engineer

* Mechanical Fitter

* Plant Fitter

* Lifting Equipment Engineer

* Crane Engineer

* Hoist Engineer

* Powered Access Engineer

* Workshop Engineer

* Field Service Engineer

* Hire Equipment Engineer

* Maintenance Engineer

* Ex-forces Mechanical Engineer

Relevant experience could include:

* Lifting equipment

* Hoists

* Winches

* Small plant

* Mechanical handling equipment

* Powered access

* Crane or lifting equipment

* Hydraulic or mechanical systems

* Industrial equipment

* Workshop or field repairs

* Inspection and test paperwork

A formal lifting, plant, mechanical or engineering qualification would be useful, but practical hands-on experience is the main requirement.

This role would suit someone who wants a stable permanent position, varied mechanical work and the chance to develop within a specialist engineering environment.

What is on offer:

- Permanent position

- Overtime available

- Training and development

- Varied mechanical equipment

- Good long-term prospects

- Supportive engineering team

ONLY APPLICANTS WITH CURRENT ELIGIBILITY TO WORK IN THE UK NEED APPLY AS NO SPONSORSHIP IS ON OFFER FOR THIS ROLE
