Description:
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to manage multiple commercial mechanical services projects across Central London, including Kings Cross, Liverpool Street, Chancery Lane and the wider central London area.
Projects range in value from £10,000 to £1 million, offering a varied workload of smaller works and larger installations. You will take ownership of projects from mobilisation through to completion and handover, with jobs handed over ready to manage. There is no estimating, tendering or job financial management involved — the focus is on delivering projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
The Role
You will be responsible for running several mechanical services projects simultaneously, coordinating site teams, managing materials and ensuring works are completed on programme and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
*
Manage projects from mobilisation through to completion and final handover.
*
Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and labour across multiple jobs.
*
Order materials and organise deliveries to keep projects running smoothly.
*
Programme works, monitor progress and maintain agreed deadlines.
*
Liaise with clients, main contractors and other trades on site.
*
Ensure quality standards, health and safety requirements and compliance are maintained.
*
Provide regular progress updates to the business.
*
Oversee the day-to-day delivery of commercial mechanical installations and works.
Experience & Requirements
We are ideally looking for someone who has come from a mechanical trade background, such as a pipe fitter or plumber, and has progressed into supervision or project management. You should have a strong practical understanding of mechanical installations and the ability to manage multiple projects confidently.
Essential requirements:
*
Proven experience managing commercial mechanical services projects.
*
Experience running several projects at the same time.
*
Relevant CSCS skilled card.
*
SMSTS qualification.
*
Good computer skills and confidence using project-related systems. A laptop will be provided.
*
Practical knowledge of commercial mechanical systems, including:
*
4-pipe fan coil unit (FCU) systems.
*
Ventilation systems.
*
VRF systems.
*
Commercial plumbing installations.
What Makes This Role Different?
This is a hands-on project delivery role for someone who enjoys organising people, coordinating installations and keeping projects moving. Projects are handed over ready for you to manage, allowing you to concentrate on site delivery, programme, quality and client relationships rather than pricing work or managing job finances.
If you have a solid mechanical background, strong organisational skills and the experience to keep multiple commercial projects on track, we would like to hear from you.
