Mechanical Project Manager
West Yorkshire
£55,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Benefits
Parkinson Gray Associates is recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager on behalf of a well-established building services contractor.
The role will involve managing a range of mechanical projects across commercial environments, taking responsibility for delivery from initial planning and site survey through to completion and handover.
This position would suit an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a solid HVAC and building services background who is comfortable taking ownership of projects, coordinating subcontractors and maintaining control of programme, cost, quality and health & safety. The original brief places particular emphasis on the successful delivery of mechanical schemes and on maintaining commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage mechanical projects from pre-start through to final handover.
* Undertake site surveys and support project planning.
* Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
* Attend client, design and project meetings.
* Monitor programmes and ensure key milestones are achieved.
* Maintain control of project costs, margins and forecasting.
* Ensure all work is delivered in accordance with relevant health & safety requirements.
* Monitor quality standards and drive projects towards defect-free completion.
* Resolve technical and operational issues as they arise.
* Maintain clear communication with clients and internal project teams.
The Successful Candidate
* Previous experience in Mechanical Project Management.
* Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building services.
* Experience delivering commercial construction or refurbishment projects.
* Ability to manage multiple subcontract packages and competing priorities.
* Good commercial awareness.
* Strong communication and client-facing skills.
* SMSTS.
* CSCS.
* First Aid.
* Asbestos Awareness.
* Relevant Building Services or HVAC qualification preferred
