gap technical are proud to be representing an Industry Leading manufacturing business in their search for an Mechanical Project Manager to work at their facility based in Widnes

Role Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing mechanical project development, including asset assessment, tendering, and extending the lifecycle of critical infrastructure. The role requires a strong understanding of CDM regulations and a proven track record in project management.Performance Objectives

Project Development:

Lead the planning and execution of mechanical and electrical projects from concept through completion.
Assess existing assets and develop strategies to extend their operational life.
Prepare project proposals, budgets, and timelines.Tendering and Procurement:

Manage the tendering process, including drafting specifications, evaluating bids, and selecting contractors.
Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.CDM Compliance:

Ensure all projects comply with CDM regulations, including risk assessments and health and safety planning.
Act as the principal point of contact for CDM coordinators, ensuring all legal requirements are met.Team Coordination:

Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and contractors.
Oversee project milestones and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.Stakeholder Management:

Engage with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Provide regular project updates and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.Technical Oversight:

Provide technical guidance on mechanical and electrical systems.
Ensure the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained.Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports and financial records.
Prepare and present reports for senior management and stakeholders.Person Specification

Apprenticeship/HND in Mechanical Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience Project Management.
Knowledge of CDM Regulations
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyApply
