Client: Having been established for over 100 years the business has established itself as a top 5 M&E contractor. With offices nationwide they operate in a variety of sectors including Commercial Offices, infrastructure, Rail, Datacentre and Public sectors; with project values ranging from £1M to £50M MEP. Their client base includes major financial institutions and blue chip main contractors such as Multiplex, Lend Lease, Morgan Sindall, Kier and Sir Robert McAlpine. Their specialist apprenticeships are industry renowned.
With increased turnover and profitability in the last few years the company has made a number of acquisitions, including establishing a new central London. The business unit has been operating for less than 10 years and already has a turnover of £35M. Predominately dealing in Healthcare, Commercial, Science and education projects up to £10M. Having already secured their turnover for the year ahead they are therefore looking to expand their management team.
Role: Mechanical Project Manager - Befordshire - £350 - £380 per day

Role/Responsibilities:
* Tender review/validation
* Design Management (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor and consultants)
* Procurement of subcontractors, kit and plant
* Technical submittals
* RFIs – Liaison with client team, main contractor and sub contractors
* Value Engineering where applicable
* Programming of works – using MS Project or Asta project
* Health & Safety management (RAMs)
* Commercial Responsibility, assisting with sub contractor variation accounts working alongside project specific Quantity Survey.
* Management of variations
* Team Coordination (overseeing junior engineers, construction managers and supervisors)
* Progress meetings with sub contractors, client and internal meetings
* Overseeing commissioning stages
* Formulation of OM Manuals and client handover
The ideal candidate:
* Experience working in the commercial sector
* Experience managing projects to a minimum of £2M within your own discipline
* A minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role
* Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as Multiplex, Lend Lease, Morgan Sindall, Kier and Sir Robert McAlpine
