Mechanical Project Manager
Location: Trafalgar Square, London
Project: 5-Storey Commercial Office Development
Duration: Initial 42-week project with long-term opportunities beyond
We are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Mechanical Project Manager to join a leading MEP contractor on a prestigious office development in the heart of London, based in Trafalgar Square.
The successful candidate will join the project during the pre-construction phase, taking ownership through planning, procurement, delivery and final handover. The initial project is expected to run for approximately 42 weeks, with a strong pipeline of secured work scheduled to commence next year, offering the opportunity to transfer directly onto future London projects.
Responsibilities
* Manage the mechanical package from pre-construction through to completion.
* Coordinate design development, procurement and programme delivery.
* Manage subcontractors and site teams to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
* Attend client, design and site coordination meetings.
* Monitor project progress and provide regular commercial and operational updates.
* Ensure high standards of health & safety, quality and compliance are maintained throughout the project.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager delivering commercial MEP projects.
* Strong background working on office developments or similar commercial schemes.
* Experience managing projects from pre-construction through to completion.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Valid SMSTS certificate (essential).
