The Opportunity
Based at our Cement Manufacturing Plant in Cauldon, Staffordshire we now have a brilliant opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Planner. This is a real opportunity for you to take a leading role on making those crucial decisions around plant maintenance and prioritisation.
As part of a team of Mechanical Planners responsible for a truly varied set of equipment from our kiln and packaging plant to our adjoining quarry, you’ll be in regular contact with inspectors and senior engineers to discuss the maintenance requirements onsite.
You will receive reports from the inspectors outlining the various faults onsite, and utilising your technical expertise will help to prioritise the work for our large maintenance team onsite.
As a key role in our engineering function it’s essential that you have a technical background, as you’ll need to understand which fault should take priority and anticipated duration of repairs to effectively schedule in weekly planned and major planned works.
Who you are
You’ll be an engineer, who has a hands on background in maintenance looking to develop as a Maintenance Planner or someone who has already taken this step and is looking to progress their career within a larger engineering team.
On site we utilise SAP, so it would be beneficial if you’ve used this or another CMMS previously.
