Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer? Do you have experience using hydraulic systems?

Here at Bridgenorth Aluminum, we are looking to expand our Mechanical Engineering Team. As Mechanical engineer you will support the safe, reliable and efficient operation of plant and equipment across the site by carrying out planned preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and breakdown repairs. The role is responsible for diagnosing faults, repairing mechanical equipment, supporting maintenance projects and contributing to continuous improvement activities to maximise equipment reliability, performance and availability.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform planned preventative and corrective maintenance on site machinery, including pumps, motors, conveyors, compressors, valves, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

* Diagnose mechanical faults, inspect equipment for wear or defects, and carry out repairs, testing and performance checks.

* Install, assemble, align and commission mechanical equipment using engineering drawings, manuals, specifications and schematics.

* Respond to breakdowns and emergency maintenance requirements, ensuring equipment is restored safely and efficiently.

* Maintain accurate maintenance records and service documentation, while safely using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring equipment.

* Support plant shutdowns, maintenance projects, equipment upgrades and continuous improvement

Key Skills

* Strong grounding in mechanical engineering gained through industrial maintenance experience.

* Experience of mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

* Knowledge of fitting, welding, machining, fabrication, installation and maintenance techniques.

* Knowledge of precision measurement equipment and instrumentation.

* Understanding of hydraulic systems.

Working Hours:

4 on / 4 off (2 Days / 2 Nights - 12 hour shifts. 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am)

Mon - Fri (42 hours - 8am - 4:30pm)

Shift allowance only applicable for 4 on / 4 off shift.
