Mechanical Engineer
Annual Salary: £35-40k
Location: Kendal
Job Type: Full-time Days or 4 on 4 offWe are seeking Mechanical Engineers to join our award-winning brand, As part of their 180-person team, you will be instrumental in ensuring our production meets engineering standards and efficiency.
Day-to-day of the role:
Perform both reactive and proactive maintenance on a variety of process equipment.
Carry out regular maintenance, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and reactive maintenance as directed.
Troubleshoot breakdowns across a range of equipment to ensure minimal downtime.
Support Team Leaders and Production to facilitate production efficiency.
Maintain documentation to provide historical records of breakdowns and PPMs.
Ensure all required paperwork is kept maintained and up to date.
Operate in a safe manner adhering to Health & Safety best practices, ensuring minimal risk.
Comply with hygiene procedures by wearing the correct PPE.Required Skills & Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent in Engineering Maintenance or Manufacture.
Time-served engineer/fitter.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work within a multi-disciplined team environment.
Knowledge/experience of working with controls, analysing faults, and providing solutions.
Experience in both reactive and preventative maintenance.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet operational requirements.
Some knowledge/training in electrics and hydraulics is advantageous.
Self-motivated and able to work with limited instruction.Benefits:
