The Role
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a heavy industrial production facility.
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults on plant machinery and production equipment.
Maintaining conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, motors, chains and hydraulic systems.
Carrying out mechanical installations, repairs and equipment improvements.
Supporting preventative maintenance activities to improve plant reliability.
Assisting with root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Minimising downtime and maximising plant performance.
Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with engineering standards.
What We're Looking For
Recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification.
Strong mechanical fault-finding and maintenance experience.
Previous experience within manufacturing, heavy industry, processing, recycling, steel, aggregates, building products, FMCG or similar environments.
Experience working with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings and hydraulic systems.
A proactive and safety-focused approach to maintenance.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Flexibility to work a 4 on 4 off days and nights shift pattern.
