We are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established industrial manufacturing business based in Kendal. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable organisation that invests heavily in its people through training, development and clear progression opportunities.

The Package
Salary up to £42,000 (typically around £40,000)
Overtime available and paid at 1.5x rate
Monday to Friday operation

Long-term career prospectsShift PatternRotating 8-hour shifts Monday to Friday:
Week 1: 5am-6am start
Week 2: 8am-9am start
Week 3: 11am start
Week 4: 3pm startThe business expects to phase out the 11am shift in the future.
Weekend overtime is typically available one weekend in every 3 to 4 weeks and is paid at time and a half.
The RoleAs a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining site reliability and ensuring production equipment operates efficiently.
Responsibilities will include:
Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Reactive maintenance and breakdown repairs
Mechanical fault finding
Equipment inspections
Continuous improvement activities
Supporting production and operational teams
Identifying opportunities to improve equipment performance and reliabilityWhat We're Looking ForThe hiring manager is keen to speak with candidates who have strong mechanical experience gained within manufacturing, industrial, production or engineering environments.
