Location: Burford
Salary: £47,000 per annum
Hours: Days
Overtime: Available & paid additionally
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and successful engineering operation based in Burford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically skilled engineer looking for a stable days-based position, with the added benefit of regular overtime opportunities to increase earnings.
The Role
Working as part of a skilled maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance and safe operation of a range of mechanical equipment and machinery.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
Preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
Working on pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, motors and associated mechanical equipment
Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
Minimising machinery downtime and maintaining production efficiency
Working safely and in line with company procedures
Assisting with installation, modification and improvement of machinery where required
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a time-served Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in an industrial, manufacturing, production or engineering environment.
You should have:
Recognised mechanical engineering qualifications or apprenticeship
Strong mechanical maintenance experience
Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Experience with preventative and reactive maintenance
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
A proactive approach to maintenance and reliability
Good health & safety awareness
