Our client, a global manufacturer who is renowned for its well-known household brands, is currently on the look-out for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their team. * You would be working with a wide range of equipment - Conveyors, Robotics, Packaging lines, Drives, Flow wrappers, Fillers, Pumps and Valves etc.
Job details:
* Ensure that preventative and reactive maintenance duties are carried out across the site.
* Be the first point of contact when breakdowns occur. Diagnose and resolve issues promptly to minimise downtime.
* Identify and support initiatives to reduce waste and drive continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with other maintenance team members to co-ordinate repairs and maintenance activities.
* Liaise with the Engineering Team Manager for workload planning and technical support.
Qualifications / Experience:
* Engineering skills obtained by a time served apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3)
* Previous experience within a Manufacturing environment (Essential).
* Familiar with pneumatically and hydraulically controlled systems.
* Strong fault-finding capabilities.
* PLC fault-finding experience (desirable).
* Familiar with packaging lines, drives, conveyors, rotating machinery, pumping equipment and valves.
* Competent in safe working procedures.
