Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Recruit4Staff are pleased to be representing their client, a leading food production company in their search for a Maintenance Engineer to work in their leading facility in Smethwick.

For the successful Maintenance Engineer our client is offering;

Competitive salary paying up to £40,000 per annum
The company operate between 6am-7pm and you will be working a flexible 8 hour shift Monday to Friday depending on business needs
Permanent position
20 days holiday + bank holidays
Days only, no shift work involved
The Role of the Maintenance Engineer:

Support and carry out any maintenance duties on site as directed
To support site planned maintenance inspections
To support all reasonable repairs on site equipment
Support any equipment breakdown needs in to reduce production down time
Carry out any other duties as and when required
Responsible for weekly strip and clean-down of production equipment
Planned preventative maintenance
Liaising with the Production team 
What our client is looking for in a Maintenance Engineer;

Must be able to demonstrate strong Mechanical based skills / knowledge
Ideally coming from a Food Production background - Highly advantageous
Proven experience of working with Steam Generators, Compressed Air and Electrics
Proven experience within a Maintenance role
Ideally hold mechanical related qualifications
