Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Sheffield
Shifts: 4 weeks days and 1 week of lates (6am-2pm/10am-6pm)
Salary: £42,000 per annum
Metalis is working with a long-standing client in Rotherham who are huge players in the packaging industry for a range of blue chip clients. They are on the lookout for a mechanically biased engineer to work with the maintenance team to efficiently complete both reactive and planned maintenance.
Job Role:
To carry out planned preventative maintenance on a range of machinery including IS machines, hot end machines and glass packaging machinery.
Ensure compliance and health & safety procedures are followed as per legislation and company policy.
Play an active role in the continuous improvement management system.
To ensure that machinery is in safe working order after any adjustments or repairs.
Ensuring stocks and spares are kept up to date and place orders for machine spares as and when required.Job Requirements:
Apprentice trained in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline.
Desirable would be to have electrical skills.
Experience in the glass industry would be beneficial.
