Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Swindon – £40,000
Location: Swindon SN3
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Shifts: 07:00-15:30 / 10:30-19:00 Split Shift, Monday to Friday (+ on-call)
About the Role
We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a leading building maintenance provider at a large mulit-use commercial building in Swindon.
You’ll be part of a skilled engineering team, delivering fault-finding, repairs and planned and reactive maintenance across a large commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
* Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across the property.
* Respond promptly to breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.
* Complete fault-finding and remedial repairs on mechanical building services.
* Carry out general repairs and maintenance.
* Work alongside other engineering and building services teams as part of a multi-skilled maintenance operation.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and site documentation.
Requirements of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
* Minimum of 3 years’ building services experience.
* Proven experience in a commercial or similar building environment.
* Must be able to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
