Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Overtime: Available
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a fantastic and well-established company based in Hertfordshire.

The Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the efficient and reliable operation of mechanical equipment and systems, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and repairs, and helping to maintain high standards of safety and performance.
The role offers a varied working environment, with overtime available and plenty of opportunity to develop your technical skills and progress within the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical faults and equipment breakdowns.
* Complete preventative maintenance and inspections.
* Ensure equipment and machinery are maintained to a high standard.
* Identify potential issues and recommend appropriate improvements.
* Work safely and in accordance with company procedures.
* Complete maintenance records and relevant documentation.
* Work closely with colleagues and other departments to minimise downtime.
* Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
About You
We are looking for a mechanically experienced engineer with a strong practical and technical background.
You will ideally have:
* Previous experience working in a Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer position.
* Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
* Experience with planned and reactive maintenance.
* A proactive approach and strong attention to detail.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* A commitment to working safely and maintaining high standards.
* Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications would be advantageous.
