OVERVIEW: MECHANICAL MACHINING TUTOR

We are currently seeking an engineering professional to deliver and coordinate the successful completion of qualifications, for a well-established training provider.

The Mechanical Instructor role will require you to be involved in teaching, coaching and mentoring young learners undertaking L3 qualifications. You will be a time served Mechanical Engineer with Machining experience (CNC, turning, lathes, drilling & Milling) and hold a level 3 or above in engineering.

Ideally you will have experience delivering training and will possess either an Assessor's Award or a teaching qualification (PTLLS or above). If you do not hold these qualifications but have a genuine desire to move into a training role, enjoy working in a learning environment and hold sound experience in the engineering sector, my client would like to hear from you. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

You will be based at a training centre in Grimsby, but may be required to visit other centres in the Humberside region, so you will need a full UK driving license and use of your own car.

THE ROLE OF MECHANICAL MACHINING TUTOR

To deliver and coordinate the successful completion of all aspects of qualifications delivered at a high-tech training facility. Training learners in the centre towards agreed qualifications in line with relevant awarding body standards.

We are looking for applicants that are self-motivated, a team player and have a 'hands on approach' to work within this rewarding environment.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: MECHANICAL MACHINING TUTOR

Minimum 4 years' relevant occupational experience within machining (fitting / milling / turning / drilling, CNC)
Good communication and presentation skills
Experience of working with young peopleQUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES: MECHANICAL MACHINING TUTOR

Level 3 (or above) occupational qualification
Assessor Qualification- A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent (desirable)
Teaching qualification (desirable)
This position is subject to Enhanced DBS clearanceSALARY/BENEFITS: MECHANICAL MACHINING TUTOR

£37-39K starting salary (depending on experience & qualifications)
