Quality Inspector – Night Shift
Location: Leamington Spa, Warwickshire
Salary: £39,000 – £40,500 per annum (Permanent)
Contract Rate: £20.02 per hour (including 20% shift allowance)
Contract Type: Permanent or Contract
Shift: Monday – Thursday Nights
The Opportunity
Syntech Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a leading precision engineering manufacturer based in Leamington Spa.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist manufacturing environment producing high-precision transmission components for the motorsport and aerospace industries.
The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting small-batch, precision-engineered components, ensuring they meet strict dimensional tolerances and quality standards.
We are looking for an experienced Inspector with a strong background in manual inspection, engineering drawings, geometric tolerances and precision measurement.

Quality Inspector Duties
*
Carry out dimensional and visual inspections of precision-engineered components.
*
Inspect small-batch transmission components against engineering drawings and specifications.
*
Use a range of manual measuring equipment to verify dimensional accuracy.
*
Interpret technical drawings, geometric tolerances (GD&T) and manufacturing route cards.
*
Perform detailed bench and table inspection work to ensure components meet required standards.
*
Identify and report non-conforming components and dimensional discrepancies.
*
Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
*
Ensure inspection activities are completed within required production timescales.
Quality Inspector Requirements
*
Previous experience as a Quality Inspector, Mechanical Inspector, Precision Inspector or Engineering Inspector.
*
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
*
Experience inspecting precision-machined components within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
*
Confident using manual measuring equipment, including micrometers, verniers, bore gauges and height gauges.
*
Experience carrying out detailed dimensional inspection and bench inspection work.
*
Ability to work independently and maintain high levels of accuracy.
*
Strong attention to detail and a right-first-time approach.
*
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with production teams.
*
Experience within motorsport, aerospace, automotive or precision engineering would be advantageous.
*
CMM programming experience and knowledge of Mitutoyo software would be beneficial but are not essential.
*
Flexibility to work additional hours when required to meet production deadlines.
