Rate: £18.00 - £20.00 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: 39 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm | Friday 8:00am-1:00pm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Inspector to join an established engineering environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical inspection background, ideally gained within the aerospace industry, who is confident using a range of precision inspection equipment and working to high standards of accuracy and quality.
The Role
As a Mechanical Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting components and ensuring they meet the required engineering specifications and quality standards.
You will be using a variety of precision measuring and inspection equipment, so a good understanding of mechanical inspection techniques is essential.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out mechanical inspections of components and manufactured parts
Checking components against engineering drawings, specifications and quality requirements
Using precision inspection equipment including verniers, micrometers and height gauges/towers
Identifying dimensional or quality issues and reporting any non-conformances
Ensuring inspection results are recorded accurately
Working closely with production and engineering teams to maintain quality standards
Supporting a strong culture of quality, accuracy and continuous improvementAbout You
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Inspector who can demonstrate a solid understanding of mechanical inspection and measurement techniques.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience working as a Mechanical Inspector
Experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment is highly desirable
Experience using CMM equipment is preferred
Strong experience using inspection equipment such as verniers, micrometers, height gauges/towers and similar precision measuring equipment
The ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection
A strong understanding of quality and dimensional accuracy
The ability to work effectively as part of an engineering/production teamYou must also have the right to work in the UK.
Working Hours & Pay
£18.00 - £20.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level
39 hours per week
Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am-1:00pm
Overtime currently available and paid at 1.5x the hourly rate
