Description:
Our client, a leading manufacturing company in the industry, is currently seeking a Semi-skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their team on a Temp to Perm basis. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a vital role in the assembly of test sets based in Eastleigh. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your mechanical assembly experience and contribute to the success of a renowned company.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret engineering drawings and diagrams.
Carry out mechanical assembly of test sets.
Ensure that all components are accurately fitted and aligned.
Perform quality checks on finished products.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Job Requirements:
Significant experience in mechanical assembly.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and diagrams.
Experience with cable assembly is desirable.
Hold a valid FLT license for counterbalance.
Ability to work Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:30 with a one-hour break.
Flexibility to work overtime as required.
This is a contract position with a competitive hourly rate of £14 - £16 per hour. Overtime is paid at time and a half, with double time on Sundays. Our client offers a supportive and collaborative working environment, where your skills and expertise will be valued and developed.
