Job Title: Mechanical Fitter
Location: Bassingbourn
Pay Rate: £16.25 – £17.33 per hour (DOE)
Contract Role
Overview of the Mechanical FitterWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a busy and growing team based in Bassingbourn on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical assembly and build of products and systems
Working from engineering drawings and technical instructions
Fitting components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies
Supporting basic electrical wiring tasks where needed
Conducting build checks to ensure quality and accuracy
Maintaining high standards of health and safetyRequirements
Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Assembly Technician
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience in mechanical build/assembly
Ideally some basic wiring knowledge (desirable but not essential)
Good attention to detail and quality
