We are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer / Fitter based in Leicester based on a full time and permanent basis.
Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 per annum
Working hours: 8:00 -16:30 Monday to Friday.
Annual leave: 25 days plus statutory

About the role:
We are looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer / Fitter who will be working in a small team, within a varied role, refurbishing used machinery.
Duties
· In house repair and refurbishment of machines.
· Fitting motors and safety switches.
· Rebuilding of mechanical sub-assemblies.
· Assisting in machine demonstration area.
· Cleaning and polishing machines.
· Prepare new machines for delivery to customers.
· Occasional UK and European travel.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
· Experienced in mechanical engineering
· Must be able to measure in both imperial and metric using rules, vernier calliper and micrometres
· Must be able to mark out, drill and tap, and be competent in the use of power tools and lathes.
· Be able to perform simple Milling and Turning tasks.
· Have basic knowledge of electrics and motors 3 Phase
· Driving Licence
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a strong level of competency and be able to work on their own or as a part of a team.
