Description:
Extra Recruitment are seeking a Mechanical Fitter in the Erdington area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and fitting metal parts to high precision specifications. This position requires expertise in mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. This is a permanent role with excellent prospects for the right person, friendly team and some food provided.
Duties of a Mechanical Fitter:
* To repair and service high speed magnetic rotors
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
* Assemble and fit metal parts using hand tools and machinery
* Conduct quality checks to ensure components meet specifications
* Collaborate with engineers and designers to optimize fit and function
* Perform root cause analysis on fitting issues and implement corrective actions
* welding and fabrication
Requirements for a Mechanical Fitter:
* Experience within Welding (MIG or TIG)
* An ability to work manual lathes
* Miller and radial drill would be a distinct advantage
Details for a Mechanical Fitter:
Hours - 40 hours 7.30am till 16.00pm with an early finish on Friday!
Pay - £16 - £20 per hour
