Hours: Monday to Friday, Days (Full-Time, Permanent)

Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking for a stable, long-term role in a busy manufacturing environment?

We’re looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to support our Site Services function — working hands-on across plant equipment, utilities, and mechanical systems to keep our operation running safely and reliably.

This is a practical, on-the-tools role, ideal for someone who enjoys varied work, problem-solving, and keeping a site running at its best.

About the Role

As our Site Services Engineer, you’ll carry out mechanical maintenance, inspections, and repairs across a wide range of site services and process equipment. You’ll work closely with the Site Services Coordinator, engineering team, and production to ensure the plant operates smoothly day to day.

You’ll be involved in everything from pump rebuilds and pipework repairs to steam system checks, water treatment monitoring, and routine mechanical upkeep.

Full training will be provided on any specialist plant, including steam and chemical treatment systems.

Key Responsibilities

*

Carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs, and inspections across site services and production equipment.

*

Complete daily/weekly checks on steam systems, water treatment and chemical dosing, and general utilities.

*

Maintain and repair pumps, valves, pipework, gearboxes, and mechanical plant.

*

Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime.

*

Assist with contractor activities and ensure safe systems of work are followed.

*

Work closely with the Site Services Coordinator and engineering teams to keep equipment reliable and compliant.

*

Keep accurate maintenance records, checksheets, and documentation for audits and site standards.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

*

Has strong mechanical fitting experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

*

Is confident working on pumps, pipework, steam systems, and general mechanical plant.

*

Has experience completing routine checks, including steam, chemical/water treatment, and utilities.

*

Enjoys practical, hands-on work and solving mechanical issues.

*

Has a proactive, safety-first attitude with good communication and teamwork skills.

*

Is happy working in a fast-paced, varied environment where no two days are the same.

What’s in It for You

*

Competitive salary based on experience.

*

Monday–Friday days — no shifts or weekend working

*

Full training on site systems including steam, chemical treatment, and utilities

*

Supportive engineering and site services team

*

Great long-term career prospects within a stable, successful manufacturing business
