Mechanical Estimator | Building Services Contractor | Hampshire | £70,000-£85,000 + Bonus + Benefits

This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Estimator to join a well-established Building Services contractor delivering projects across the commercial, fast-track office fit-out, healthcare, education, industrial, and leisure sectors.

With a strong pipeline of secured work and a healthy level of repeat business, the company is looking to appoint a Mechanical Estimator to support the continued growth of its pre-construction team.

Mechanical package values typically range from £1m to £4m across commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, leisure, and fast-track fit-out projects

The Role – Mechanical Estimator

Working closely with the pre-construction team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and commercially competitive tenders for mechanical building services projects from initial enquiry through to final submission.

You will assess project opportunities, obtain supplier and subcontractor quotations, prepare detailed cost estimates, review technical specifications and drawings, and contribute towards securing profitable and deliverable projects.

Projects include HVAC systems, ventilation, pipework, public health services, heating and cooling plant, and plantroom installations across a broad range of building services projects.

Requirements

* Proven experience working as a Mechanical Estimator within Building Services

* Strong background pricing mechanical installation projects within contractor environments

* Experience using Ensign estimating software would be advantageous

* Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems, plant, pipework, ventilation, and associated services

* Good commercial awareness and analytical ability

* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications and produce detailed tenders

* Strong organisational and communication skills
