Overview

An established and highly respected Building Services contractor is looking to appoint a Mechanical Estimator to join their commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career within estimating. Whether you're already estimating or have a strong mechanical contracting background and are looking to move into a dedicated estimating position, you'll receive ongoing support and mentoring from an experienced senior estimator.
The business has an outstanding staff retention record, delivers predominantly public sector M&E projects, and is known for investing heavily in training and developing its people.

The Role
You'll work alongside an experienced Mechanical Estimator, assisting with the preparation of competitive tenders for a wide variety of mechanical building services projects.
Projects typically range up to £6 million M&E value, covering sectors such as:

Public Sector
Education
Healthcare
Commercial
Responsibilities include:

Preparing mechanical estimates and tender submissions
Reviewing drawings and specifications
Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
Producing accurate cost plans
Liaising with project managers and commercial teams
Supporting value engineering exercises
Developing your estimating knowledge through structured mentoringAbout You
Applications are welcomed from candidates who have:

Experience within the Building Services or Mechanical Contracting industry
Some estimating experience or a strong mechanical background looking to transition into estimating
Good commercial awareness
Strong communication skills
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
The ability to work well within a collaborative team
