Calling all Mechanical Estimators in North Wales

Our client is a family-run, friendly and quite chilled (pun intended!) Mechanical & Electrical Contractor based in NW Wales.
They have an excited new opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their lovely offices, hit the ground running and continue the success of an established and profitable company.
Mechanical Estimator Responsibilities
* Production of mechanical (plumbing) tenders for both pre-designed and design & construct projects along with estimating of small works.
* Receive client enquiries, organise or complete the required surveys and prepare detailed estimates, tenders and quotations to ensure that opportunities are being accurately estimated competitively, successfully and profitably.
* Support the Business in client meetings and estimation/tender presentations to help secure tendered opportunities.
* Help develop and refine the estimation process to improve efficiency, clarity, and accuracy while reducing overall costs along with build relationships with new and existing clients.
* Report on ongoing performance by gathering feedback from clients on submitted tenders/quotes, highlighting areas of concern and providing solutions to help overcome these areas.
* Evaluate opportunities and work with the senior management team to identify strategic opportunities.
* Negotiating preferential rates with suppliers to ensure best prices are always achieved.
* Management of other estimators in your section including workload, deadlines, weekly updates etc.
* Assist in the training and development of juniors estimators.
Mechanical Estimator Experience:
* Experience with estimating mechanical services.
* Apprentice-trained/ Engineering/ Installer background would be ideal.
* Proven track record in the Mechanical services industry.
* Must have sound knowledge of all mechanical systems including commercial and domestic plumbing and heating
* Up to date relevant knowledge of Building legislation, Gas Regulations, Water Regulations, H&S at Work Act.
* Able to read and understand tender drawings and specifications.
* Contracts and Project Management experience would be beneficial.
* Electrical knowledge would be beneficial but not essential.
