Description:
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician on a temporary basis. This role may become permanent for the right candidate!
You will work as part of a team meeting objectives and targets, supporting teaching staff in practical sessions, ensuring equipment is kept up to a standard.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Ensure safe, tidy and appropriate resources are available for the Engineering workshop/storeroom.
You will be supporting students and teachers with practical sessions and assessments, demonstrating practical instructions.
Prepare and maintain facilities including arranging servicing and maintenance of equipment
Maintain stock levels, keeping track of anything which may need ordering
Ensure safe storage of materials
Follow Health and Safety and COSHH Regulations
Follow safe workshop practice
Complete mandatory training
Travel between sites if requiredEssential criteria:
Level 2 qualification and experience in Engineering
Proven experience in relevant field
Ability to multitask
Ability to unload/load materials and suppliesThe successful candidate will require an enhanced DBS and satisfactory referencing.
This is a full-time position for 37 hours per week. Mon - Thurs 8:30-5 and Friday 08:30 - 4:30.
This role pays £11.44ph - £14.15ph (depending on experience)
