Coulter Elite Resourcing is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. We offer flexible working arrangements, including part-time, full-time, and full-time positions with travel. The ideal candidate will be passionate about engineering, have a keen eye for detail, and possess strong problem-solving skills. While prior experience with sewage/effluent systems is not essential, candidates must be aware that the role involves handling wastewater equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and test mechanical systems and components.
* Conduct research to evaluate design solutions and improve processes.
* Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with other systems.
* Analyse project requirements and determine the feasibility of design proposals.
* Oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment, including wastewater systems.
* Perform calculations for stress analysis, load testing, and material selection.
* Ensure that all mechanical systems comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
* Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
* Manage project timelines and communicate progress to stakeholders.
* Participate in on-site inspections and travel to various project locations as required.
Person Specification:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
* Proven experience in mechanical design and engineering.
* Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
* Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
