Mechanical Engineer (Progression to Lecturer)

£30,000 - £40,000 + Full Teacher Training Provided + 45 Days Holiday + Teachers' Pension + CPD + Progression

Are you a Mechanical Engineer with a Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering looking to come off the tools and build a rewarding long-term career?

Do you want to pass on your industry knowledge to the next generation of engineers, with no previous teaching experience required and full support to become a qualified Lecturer?

This leading technical education provider delivers vocational, apprenticeship and higher education programmes across engineering and technical disciplines. Working alongside major employers, they develop industry-ready engineers through modern workshops, specialist facilities and courses ranging from entry level through to degree level.

In this role, you will use your industry experience to deliver Mechanical Engineering training across both practical workshop sessions and classroom-based learning. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess learner progress and support students in developing the technical knowledge and practical skills required for successful careers within the engineering industry. Alongside this, you will receive full support to gain recognised teaching qualifications while working within an experienced and supportive team.

This role would suit a Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or similar with a Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification, looking to move into teaching with full training, excellent work-life balance and long-term career progression.

The Role:

Deliver Mechanical Engineering training across practical workshop and classroom sessions
Plan lessons, schemes of work and learning materials
Assess learner progress and provide feedback and support
Monitor learner achievement and outcomes
Support curriculum delivery and course development
Gain recognised teaching qualifications with full funding and supportThe Person:

Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Mechanical Engineer or similar
Looking to progress into a teaching and training career
