When is the best time to join a new company as a building services focused Mechanical Engineer?
Is it when they first open their doors when the risk is highest? How about after five years when they are already established and have foundations in place?
If you are based near Goole and thinking when they've got some trading history, and regular clients while being about to start a growth spurt you can be part of, read on.
Presently undertaking a couple of projects a year in four different sectors (retail, commercial, leisure and industrial, no resi!), the company specialises in all aspects of HVAC so there is no electrical involvement beyond coordinating with project partners.
They are also undertaking an increasing amount of test and validation work so being technically strong, take pleasure in ferreting out issues and able to identify solutions.
In short, the Director is looking for someone who can tick some of the following boxes and is keen to work on the rest:
Possess HNC or above qualifications in the HVAC industry
Estimating / tendering experience
HVAC design knowledge, or AutoCAD capabilities
Able to manage HVAC projects from conception to completion
Managed subcontractors
Possess experience with day-to-day site supervision of projects
Ability to produce site-specific RAMS for all HVAC activities
Worked closely with all stakeholders including the client/end user.
Work under your own initiative and not need supervision.
You'll be looking at a salary up to £55k plus package including car allowance, laptop, mobile etc. plus opportunities to become a share holder in the longer term.
As a building services focused Mechanical Engineer, opportunities don't come much better than this, particularly in Goole and the East Yorkshire area.
