Job Description:
As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting and performing engineering activities throughout the lifecycle of various projects contributing to Nuclear New Build initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the design of systems and components to meet customer requirements.
Formulating effective solutions to emerging problems.
Evaluating the overall performance, reliability, and safety of final products.
Modifying designs to meet customer specifications.
Collaborating with Senior Mechanical Engineers to estimate project budget and scope.
Identifying risks and opportunities within projects.
Preparing product reports and documentation.
Engaging in continuous learning and development of new theories or methods.
Qualifications:
Essential:
Experience in a similar role and a BEng or similar professional qualification in a related engineering field.
Understanding of safety legislation and safety culture.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to act with integrity.
Capacity to work independently with initiative and self-motivation.
Desirable:
Understanding of materials.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate complex topics clearly to a range of stakeholders.
