Description:
A reputable manufacturer of bespoke lighting systems looking to expand its current team by hiring a mechanical engineer. Based in Oxfordshire, you'll be responsible for the design and development of new and existing products of high-quality lighting systems. On top of a salary up to £40,000 you will also have the opportunity to grow and develop your engineering skills.
As a Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for:
Development of whole products as well as mechanisms and sub-assemblies.
Performing tolerance analysis to ensure high quality robust design of bespoke mechanical systems and components using tools such as FMEA.
End-to-end project management of multiple projects from concept through to manufacture.
Rapid prototyping, metal fabrication, CNC and engineering drawings.
Work with external manufacturing partners and other suppliers.
This Mechanical Engineer vacancies requires:
Proven experience as a Design Engineer or Mechanical Engineer.
Qualifications to at least degree level (PhD, MSc, MEng, BEng or BSc) in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product or Innovation Engineering.
Experience in bespoke manufacture, working to regulated standards and product design.
Proven experience in rapid prototyping, metal fabrication, CNC and engineering drawings with GD&T.
High level of proficiency in 3D CAD.
