Key Responsibilities:
Solve technical problems of the highest scope, complexity, and ambiguity.
Identify and propose solutions to problems in existing products or processes.
Ensure technical accuracy by reviewing the engineering team's work.
Establish engineering strategies to meet business objectives.
Foster strong communication between teams to facilitate exchange of information and implement improvements.
Additional Duties:
Review technical and commercial aspects of project specifications.
Liaise with clients, sub-contractors, and internal departments on technical matters.
Design mechanical schematic diagrams according to company standards.
Generate all necessary documentation for projects at every stage.
Ensure certification and quality requirements are met for each project.
Write specifications for procured materials and raise purchase requisitions as needed.
Participate in project Design Reviews with Project Engineers and Engineering Manager.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Proven track record in providing project documentation and meeting deadlines.
Excellent numeracy skills and interpersonal communication.
Minimum HNC or equivalent in Control, Mechanical Engineering.
Experience in the O&G industry, specifically with hydraulic control systems.
This is a 12 months+ contract role, based at our client’s offices just outside Norwich, though the role could be carried out on a hybrid basis.
