Mechanical Engineer
Location: Old Denaby, Doncaster
Competitive: Salary £38K - 40K
40 Hours Per Week

The Best Connection are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a leading engineering business based in Old Denaby, Doncaster.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, hands-on engineer looking to be involved in the full lifecycle of machinery projects, from build and testing through to installation and commissioning both in the UK and overseas.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical assembly and build of machinery
Assisting with mechanical design activities
Pneumatic system design and build
Panel building
Small fabrication work including welding, burning and drilling
Testing and fault-finding on completed machinery
Installation and commissioning of equipment at customer sites
Supporting projects from workshop build to customer handover
Requirements
BTEC Mechanical Engineering to HNC level or equivalent
Experience in mechanical engineering and machinery assembly
Strong knowledge of pneumatic systems
Understanding of transmission drive and structural assemblies
Basic hydraulic and electrical knowledge beneficial
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required
Travel
The role includes installation and commissioning work within steel plants across the UK and overseas.
Approximately 6 weeks of international travel per year
Overseas trips typically around 2 weeks in duration
